ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius (June 17, 2017) -- A small delegation of local companies
comprising Managing Assistant at Island
Essence, Carmen Nova, General Manager at Knippenga
Villa Rent Caribbean, Leonieke Zuiddam and Office Assistant
at St. Eustatius Tourism Development Foundation
(STDF), Sharmin Turner represented St. Eustatius
at the St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association’s
(SHTA’s), St. Maarten/St. Martin Annual Regional Tradeshow
(SMART).
“Attending this trade mission helps expand awareness
of the existence of tourism on the island,” said Turner.
SMART is being held at The Westin St. Maarten Dawn
Beach Resort and Spa in St. Maarten.
SMART brings together the “movers and shakers” in the
tourist industry for St. Maarten/St. Martin and the surrounding
islands, a conference which provides the venue
for international buyers to network and negotiate future
business opportunities with suppliers in the tourism industry.
“Island Essence is a one-stop source for all vacation
needs. At our establishment we specialize in event and
wedding planning, concierge services, offering professional
travel assistance and we are well-known for our
quality customer care,” said Nova.
Tradeshows bring together like-minded individuals either
through the same profession or similar industries to
exchange contact information and grow the company’s
marketing message and brand image.
